PPV Graduates win big

Lj Crichton and Tomairangi Henare and their families are in the enviable position of not needing to worry how they will manage the burden of cost for studying next year. The Wellington based Deane Endowment Fund has awarded both young singers with scholarships to support them whilst they study towards their undergraduate degrees at the NZ School of Music, Victoria University.

We are immensely proud of our association with these two young singers, who have graced the stage with Festival Opera many times. Each time, their mana, musicianship and commitment has inspired their peers and audiences. LJ is in his second year at Victoria and Tomairangi begins his journey there in 2019. We couldn't be happier for them and for their families. LJ is pictured here (left) in our 2017 production of Bizet's 'Carmen', alongside fellow PPV Graduate and Waikato Scholarship recipient Taylor Wallbank.
